Octavia - Orthodontic Assistant

Octavia was born in Howard County, but raised in Anne Arundel County. She has worked for Dr. Maxine V. Clark since February 2002. Octavia trained at MSDA (The Maryland State Dental Association) which is affiliated with Howard Community College. She finished her training giving her a license to practice as an Orthodontist Assistant and also certified in the state of Maryland to practice radiology. When Octavia is not working she likes to go to the mall, Redskins football games, Wizards basketball games, walking around the inner harbor, or just outside. Mostly in her free time she loves to read and spend time with her boyfriend, friends, family, and that little special person in her life, her godson.

Esther - Orthodontic Assistant

Esther was born in Seoul, Korea. Esther attended the Maryland State Dental Association class in Orthodontics Expanded Functions. She also attended the University of California at Davis where she studied English and Oregon State University where she studied Human Development. Esther received her license in Orthodontic Assisting and Dental Radiography after successfully completing her course of training with MSDA.

Rita - Business Assistant

Rita was born in Connecticut and raised in Rhode Island. She has been with Maryland Orthodontic Specialists as a front desk/business assistant since August 2009. Rita joined our team to pursue a new and challenging career after 32 years in the banking industry. She has excellent Customer Service skills as well as financial, management and sales experience.

Anna - Orthodontic Assistant

Anna was born and raised in Catonsville, Maryland. She attended Bryman College in Washington State for dental assisting. Anna has received her Maryland state licenses in Dental Radiography, Orthodontic Assisting, as well as Dental Assisting Expanded Functions. She has over ten years experience in the dental profession and she keeps herself current on many dental related issues through participation of various continuing education courses.

Shemia

Shemia was born in  Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from Medix School Towson as a Dental Assistant. She also has her Associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. Shemia plans to pursue her education by taking additional classes to become an Orthodontic Assistant.

Carol - Front Desk Staff

Carol was born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in Howard County Maryland.  Carol attended Montgomery College and transferred to Martha Washington Career Center where she graduated as a Dental Assistant. In her spare time Carol likes to spend quality time with her three children and her husband.  She also takes pleasure in attending her son's sport events.

Dr. Clark adheres to all OSHA/HIPPAA standards and all clinical staff members are certified by the state of Maryland.
