Braces-safe Holiday Menus for your Family Gatherings

The holidays are quickly approaching and so are all the gatherings that come with it. However, it is important to create menu options that will work for everyone. If you wear braces, remember that you need to stay away from sticky foods and candies. Unfortunately, this includes many favorites such as caramels, toffee, fudge, and many others. Some other holiday

sweets to stay away from are seasoned nuts and popcorn. These cause risk of popping a bracket.

Don’t worry-having braces does not mean that you must stay away from all the holiday foods. Go ahead and indulge in cheese, mashed potatoes, and soft cookies or crackers. Soft fruits and veggies are also an excellent choice. In general, you are safe with anything soft: Cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, custards, and puddings, pumpkin, and cream pies.
